Gee-yoncé

Nickname given to Lady Gaga after filming the music video for Beyoncé’s single, “Video Phone.”

According to The Guardian’s Sean Michaels, Lady Gaga explained the origin of the nickname in an interview with a New York radio station, Z100. The singer revealed that she abandoned her usual garb for the duo’s video, opting instead to dress like Beyoncé:

And so there she is, in a photo leaked to the Perez Hilton blog: Lady Gaga with her hair (or perhaps her wig) down, standing in a Beyoncé-style white leotard. “The whole time I was learning the choreography they were calling me Gee-yoncé,” Gaga said.
